My outside faucet was turned on and water was flowing. I turned it off. I then turned it back on and now there is now water coming out. Water is running everywhere else in the house.

Hi Mrmack...

If not frozen as Ballengeb1 presented then we'll need to know a few more things, OK?

Is this a regular outside faucet or a newer anti.-freeze outside faucet? Did you shut off a shutoff inside the building or did you just shut the outside faucet itself on/off? How long was it between shutting the outside faucet off and then back on?

Once we know this we can discuss what parts need to be removed and cleaned or cleared of debris.

If you suspect the outside faucet is frozen, open the outside faucet full open and then begin to thaw the pipe out using a paint stripper or a hair dryer. If the water simply flows and you can shut the outside faucet off then you lucked out! If the water flows and the outside faucet is burst then obviously you need to replace the outside faucet.

Back to you...
