10 days? Well, It's not completely uncommon. Sometimes periods last longer or shorter than 7 days. Since you are only 12 your period has not yet regulated. It will take time to do so. I'm 17, almost 18, and I've had my periods since I was 12 and I'm still irregular. Don't worry, you're fine. If you're still worried or if your period hasn't slowed down by January 13 you should ask your mother about it and you can ask her to see a doctor about it.

If I understand your question correctly you skipped a few peroids and then got it and it lasted for over a week. If this continues to happen you should see a dr as it could be PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) there are many other symptoms you may or may not have with it such as weight gain around the time you first got your peroid. Severe cramps and irregular peroids. I was diagnosed around your age it is very treatable with the pill but like I said you will need to see a doctor if it keeps happening.

Honey, you are only 12 years old. It can take years for your period to regulate.

You may go several months without a period and then have one that can last for a couple of weeks. Periods usually regulate around the age of 18.
