Was put on probation for two years and never checked in. went to probation violation hearing and was given 90 of IPP. Missed three days due to a screw up. A warrant was issued. How much jail time is he looking at for this IPP violation since IPP isn't exactly the same as regular probation?

It is a violation of probation, and of course you could be required to serve your entire probation sentence in prison, that is a possible outcome for all violations.
You will most likely serve a few weeks till a new hearing, and maybe 2 or 3 months to get your attention, to make sure you are going to take it seroius.

OK so if he was given 90 days of that IPP and he went and wasn't violated for 30 days of it then he screwed up he could serve the remaining 60 days in jail? Is there a possibility that he could get more time than what he had left on the IPP?

No, not the amount of times for the IPP the amount of time for the actual probation time, if the entire probation was 90 days it does not matter how many days he has done, he could be on day 89 and if he vioated it on day 89 he could still serve the entire 90 days in jail.
But what was the original probation, 1 or 2 years, that is the actual jail time he could serve not just the IPP part
