Assalaam walaikum,
My name is humam naik . Recently i saw the video of zakir naik in which a sikh is asking dr naik about mazaar he asked him that is it allowed in islaam to praise or worsip graves to which zakir naik replied that it is haaaraam but giving following reasons:
1)it is writeen in hadith in which prophet muhammed himself said that making stilt graves (pakki kabar) is prohibited and my own grave should not be the same
2)it is written in the quran that making wasila (shifarish)is also prohibited
3)zakir naik said that we can love prophet muhammed but cannot worship him, we love him but we cannot worship him
I want to know the above reasons prooof and is the reasons correct if yes then why are people declaring him kafir and my question is why are there different kinds of sects in islam like sunni wahabi hanfi n all... but i myself declare that i am a muslim but nt one of dese
I want a proof from quraan and hadith but not any hadith of wahabi sunni hanafi or anyone
Please help me through this cause if ders misunderstanding in us how can we prove our non muslim friends

Assalamu alaikum bro. I can giv u so many hadiths & there are some quraan ayats to. Dr zakir is davil this is not the only thing he said-- he is a fitna.*** when ever u think something is not right *** look in to quraan & hadiths *** ***. There are lots of people who want to make muslims go astray. There are so many people who clm to be muslims but they only are here to misguide muslims, may allah helps all the ummah. Even Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) prayed with the Wasila of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). This is mentioned indirectly in the Holy Quran and directly in Hadith respectively. It is given in the Holy Quran:
Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration and his Lord turned toward him; for He is Oft-Returning Most Merciful. Surah Baqarah (2:37)
About the aforementioned words which were taught to Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) and Allah Ta'ala accepted His Tauba (repentance), a Hadith is given in the following books:

Translation of Hadith: It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Umar Bin Khattab (May Allah be well pleased with him), he said that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: When Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) committed an oversight, he supplicated to Allah Ta'ala: O my Lord! I pray with the Wasila of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), you forgive me. Allah Ta'ala said: O Adam! How do you know Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). He has not yet arrived in the world. Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) said: O my Lord! When you created me with your power and blew your Ruh (soul) into me, I raised my head and saw written on the supports of the 'Arsh:
"La Ilaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah"
I understood that you had joined Your blessed name with His pure name who is the most beloved to you in the whole creation.
Allah Ta'ala said: O Adam! You have spoken the truth. Indeed! In the whole creation, He is the dearest to me. You supplicate to Me through His Wasila and I will surely grant you Maghfirah (forgiveness). If Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was not to be, I would not have created you.

Akhi, first of Allaah, you`re question is unclear due to your problem of not having found the truth. I don`t know what the salafis in your country are like, and there is no difference between a salafi and a wahhabi, except that a wahhabi is used as an insult (by those who don`t see the pure Islam fitting there desires) when they speak about salafis, and salafis are not offended by it because Al-Wahhaab is a Name of Allaah. Also in the past there was no need to differentiate between sunnis, because a sunni meant salafi, but today people that have invented evil things claiming to ascribe themselves to Islam and making even shirk (like gathering to worshiping near graves of pious people among salaf who are innocent of what those do after them, wearing amulets, believing that particular men are ruling the world from the unseen etc.) among the sufis (taken from `tasawwuf`, by which they actually mean shirk, but have changed the meaning of the word, as jews did with Islam before) are saying they are sunnis. That`s why scholars of ahl-As-Sunnah wa al-jamaa`ah are advicing to ascribe yourself to salafiyah in order to distinguish yourself from shirk and bid`ah and it`s people. It`s better to say that, though even the salafis in your area might be having problems and deficiensies. All Banuu Adam are making mistakes. With salafis you will learn the foundation of Deen, but don`t have ta`assub and say my group is perfect - everyone else in nothing but munafiquun. No-one is saying it isn`t sufficient to say you are muslim, but you should understand the true Islam and ascribe yourself to it.
Sunni is meaning what? If you mean by it that I make du`aa to Allaah through my Prophet -sAaws- like the christians do to Allaah through `Iisaa, to `Iisaa, ot through his name `Iisaa (just they say `Jesus`) -as-(When he -sAaws- said in a Hadiith: "Who calls upon with Allaah a partner, enters The Fire", and after this Hadiith and all the evidence in Quran and Sunnah all the time that du`aa is worship, worship is only due to Allaah, I honestly don`t care which interpretation the Devil advices them and they tell me to say it`s allowed). But if you mean by it that one adheres to Sunnah according to their capability, judge themselves by it, obey Rasuul -sAaws- and not disobey him, and believe in that what he -sAaws- taught was the divine Truth whether I understand it or not, then of course I`m SUNNI, and so should every one who says Muhammadan Rasuulullaah (sAaws).
Salafiyah is meaning what? Wahhaabi is meaning what? I`ll just post this first.
Wa aleikumus-Salaam. Forget about proving anything to your non-muslim friends before you know what you`re talking about. We don`t call them to take part in an `Islamic civil war`, or something. You don`t speak about these things with them. Allaah ordered to call to Him with `baseerah` - with knowledge and certainty. So be patient and don`t expect from yourself what you cannot, but do what you can.
AND LEARN TAWHEED; MUSLIMS; FIRST! LAA ILAAHA ILL-ALLAAH! Don`t take it for granted that you know everything already there is to know about the reason why Allaah created the creation, send the Prophets -as- establishes The Day of Judgement, punishes with Fire, and enters into Gardens under which rivers flow.
The meaning of `waseelah` is made unclear. You say this is a translation, so what is the word used originally, which you translate as `waseelah`? Anyway, it may be correct, or it may not be. Not all `ulama used only SaHiH aHaadiith every single time they wrote or spoke. That`s not the point. The point is, Al-Waseelah means looking for a way to Allaah, so why don`t you speak about making du`aa to Allaah by the Waseelah that you are asking Him Alone, as His beloved Nabii Al-Mustafa has done, and you are a Haniif, muslim, not a mushrik? It`s obvious you sufis just want to worship Nabii -sAaws- like the christians did to `Iisaa -as- because that`s all you ever try to convince people to come closer and closer to. And this was what was feared by Nabii -sAaws- as he asked us not to excaterate with him, because he -sAaws- is a slave, but just to say he is "`Abdullaahi wa Rasuuluhu". Saying so is true honouring of hi, and Allaah knows best. Don`t love someone like you should love only Allaah.
Okay, so why are there these sects? For the same reason there exists everything else in this world: so that Allaah may test us. Read Surat Al-Mulk.
The Messenger of Allaah -sAaws- said in the well-known Hadiith that before him the jews were divided into 71 sects, the christians became divided into 72 sects, and that this ummah will be divided into 73 different sects, and all of them will be in The Fire (`fii An-Naar`)... So you wouldn`t want to go there? SaHaabah didn`t. They asked: "Who are those (the saved sect)?" He -sAaws- replied they are those who: "are upon what I am upon today, and my Companions" (`alaa maa ana `aleihi al-joum wa as-Haabii`).
And what`s wrong with people by the way that they call other muslims devils in public forums? Please read Surat Al-Hujurat.
So when Allaah revealed "Al-jawma akmaltu lakum Diinakum" (5:3), any innovations are in The Fire. And The Sunnah is explaining The QurĂ n, and SaHaabah are explaining the Sunnah. To follow them, and those who have followed them with iHsaan (9:100) is the purpose of salafiyah. MuHammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhaab called the ummah back from shirk and bid`ah and ma`aasii, and that`s my some people who want to hold on to these things because of their desires, forefathers, sheikhs, and whatever, they want to make people hate his name. It`s the same like in the media the kuffaar say "islamists", so that people would hate the name of The Religion of Allaah.
