Hi,
I am on OPT with F1 visa right now. The company I am working for asks me to attend a conference in Canada for 3 to 4 days. I wonder whether I need to apply visa for entering US for this trip. Thank you.

It depends. Where are you originally from?
And, do you have a passport?
And, how do you place to travel to Canada and when approximately? Later Jan 07 or later?

Thanks for your quick response!
I am from China and I do have a valid Passport.
The conference will be held in the end of April and I need to fly there.
If I do need to apply for US visa, what would be the good way to do it?
Thanks!

I found this website: Travel to Canada for Non-Canadians (http://web.mit.edu/scholars/travelca.html)
It talks about how if you are on F-1 status, you need a Form I-20.
My advice would be to contact one of the Canadian consulates.
The information is listed at the bottom of the webpage for both offices in Buffalo and NYC with phone numbers and email addresses.
