Recently the water flow to the shower head in stand up shpwer has slowed to a trickle. Thought it may be lime build up in the valve. ( Faucet type is 2 valve, hot and cold with shower riser) Turned the water off and removed the cartridges on both hot and cold. No obvious issue. While the cartridges were out flushed water through each side. Great flow... Reinstalled cartridges and still no flow to shower head. Shut off hot water and removed cartridge. Opened cold to flush through valve. Great flow. Did the same with cold, Great flow. Removed the showeer head and ran a wire dwn to see if I could feel a blockage. Nothing obvious.

I know this is probably a VERY simple problem, I just am having a real brain drain. Someone probably can tell me how to fix in 5 seconds and I will tell myself how stupid I am to not think of this...

Sounds like you did all the right things, but you never said how the flow was with the shower head off, cleaning with wire might not do the job, shower head are relatively cheap I'd try changing it. Good luck

Hang in there, they'll be a real plumber along shortly to help, what kind of pipe do you have?

Hello Mmcl

It sounds like you have blockage in raiser pipe, I would suggest to remove the shower head, turn the shower arm upward fill up the raiser pipe with white vinegar let it soak for a few hours, turn the shower arm downward, try and see if the flow is better, try this a few times and I hope it will work, good luck.
