I purchased a vehicle with a credit union, which they later charged it off. I called them last year in April to make payment arrangements and they said they charged it off. They said they would repo the vehicle and I gave them my address. No one came to get the vehicle. I called them back and they told they didn't want the vehicle. I asked them do I still make payments and keep the vehicle. They told me I can do what I want to do and the collection lady hang the phone up rudely. I called them back and no one returned my call.
Months went by and I sent them a certified letter in November of 2010 to either come get the vehicle or work out a payment plan with me. The CFO contacted me and I told him what had happen. He told me they really don't want the vehicle and to send him a payment plan. I asked him does that mean they are going to let me keep the vehicle, because the vehicle has been sitting on my property since April. He said yes. So I sent him a payment plan and request to have the title/leinholder information so I register the vehicle in the state I moved too. They have not contacted me back. So I called them and the credit rep told me to leave a voice message on the credit collection manager's phone and he will call me back. I did just that and no one contacted me. I called again and no return phone call. Again, they didn't come pick up the vehicle. Its been almost a year since they didn't come pick up the vehicle and they had my new address since April of 2010.
Now the vehicle is register in another state. Something is not right here. In April I was willing to work out a payment plan, with giving them 1200 to start. The credit union refused. Now in November, they are not responding after he told me he would work with me. What do I do? I am thinking they have no information on the vehicle. Or they charged off a vehicle and was not suppose to. Any someone with experience help me here. Like he told me again, they don't want the vehicle. I can't register the vehicle without them giving me title/leinholder information (not the title, because I have not paid for the vehicle). I don't have that information, it was lost.
