View Full Version : What about powers like superheros?

I feel like I could do something science would not consider legal but being a science-based reality guy myself I really can't even think about trying it to see if I actually can.
And basically I think I can't live with this thing going on so I really need to sort it out.

Maybe some more details would be helpful. I'm not quite sure what you are trying to ask--you talk about superhero powers, legality, and science, but I don't see how you are linking them. :-/ Do you want to know if some talent of yours is a superhero power? Are you a scientist trying to develop something that would be superhero-like? And the question of something "not being legal to science." Does that mean it's against the laws of nature, or the laws of society?

"I feel like I could" I have this sensation (I have to admit, it happens many times in my dreams and back in reality I used to think abot it a lot till it came to me as it was some sort of "sign"). It's about some ability like superheros only have so it was to say it's against nature laws.

You feel like you could what?

You feel like you could... lift a steel beam off a child? You feel like you could... see the future? You feel like you could... shoot webs out of your hands?
I see what you mean about being against the laws of nature--shooting webs out of your hands would be--but some events can be considered superhuman, but still not against the laws of nature. There are many recorded cases of people having strength that exceeds what they should have (adrenaline is amazing in a tense situation), many recorded cases of having "premonitions"...
I'm not sure if that helps at all, but I'm still unclear. If you can figure out exactly what it is that you feel like you could do (or even if it's a general "I could do anything") you could probably then Google that and see if it is plausible or really would be considered a "superhero power" (and therefore, not real).

I agree with the above poster.
You have to realize we are unbias here and in no way will judge you or your sensation. We are simply here to help you with questions/concerns you have regarding this matter.
I hope you continue posting and we are able to help.

I can guarantee you all that it is not indeed something that you can mistake for something else more easily explanable. It is one of the following (turn invisible, be able to fly, make things disappear). When I think abot trying to see if I actually can the result is the same. I just can't because logic would be the main thing to take control over me so I can't evn say if its just bull**** or if its because I'm not trying it hard enough.

Why be so cryptic? Is it something you think you can do (but haven't yet?) or something you have already demonstrated that you can do?

I said I would like to try but logic has it that I would not even be able to "get in the mood". I don't want to explain what ability it is we are talking about right because my mind doesn't name it as scientifically possible.

Then why ask the question. Why post it?

If you don't want to explain any further, I'm afraid I can't offer much more insight at this point, but good luck. I would, however, advise against actually trying something such as flying from any height unless you have proven it to be irrefutably possible from a SMALL height...

I wasn't asking you guys if it could be possible.
I hoped I could find some advice regarding the difficulty I experience when thinking about actually trying to do that special thing to see if it is more than a sensation.
Like, what I think is that if I try and it doesn't work it could be because I'm too concerned about what's possible and what's not that even if I have that ability it would not show up.
I know it sounds like bull**** but I'm not that kind of freak. I feel it on my body, is more than just a fairy dream.

Hello g:
They say we only use 10% of our abilities. I'll bet there's superhero stuff in the 90%. Maybe you've broken through.

That makes a bit more sense, and yes--many people believe that it's possible that if you are worrying too much about whether you can or can't do something, your mind will make you unable to do it. I would recommend doing some research on anything that might strengthen your mind. For example: meditation, self-hypnosis, astral projection, the power of positive thinking... I've read a couple books by Robert Peterson on out of body experiences (try this one: http://www.amazon.com/Out-Body-Experiences-Have-Expect/dp/1571740570/ref=pd_sim_b_6), and there are lots of mental exercises to do. I wish I could recall the name of one book and will add it here if I can find it at home... there was one exercise that was said to get you any parking spot you wanted. I had it work for me several times and can't swear one way or another it was coincidence--I had the exact spot I wanted.
Again, don't go jumping off any buildings, but try learning about the power of your mind and you might be surprised what you can do. I hope this helps!

Thanks themisfitkitten that was lot of help actually.
But still, even if I already knew half of those things suggested, I think this requires more than self confidence tricks or something like that.
Its like I'm a religious man and I don't want to make tests to prove the shroud be the real thing.
Beause the thing here is what happens next if its possible. Do you know what that would cause? The fear of that is also part of what keeps me from trying it.
Anyway I'm italian if some were wondering.
I will see if I can find the book you linked somewhere.

You're very welcome, I'm glad I was of some help. :)
As far as being religious, unless your faith forbids you from expanding your knowledge, I don't feel that learning more would be a bad thing. I also don't mean to imply that the only way to do this is with an out of body experience (which some religions would consider occult-based); it's about learning to expand and focus your consciousness. Many of the techniques in the books I've mentioned deal with you relaxing quietly and envisioning something (say, a ball that changes colors, or every detail of something) so that you focus on nothing else. I also feel you could compare it to religious faith--you believe something with all your heart, but could you physically prove the existence of a divine being, or do you just feel that it's there?
No... I have no idea what could happen if you or someone truly had superhero powers, but many great inventions and advancements have happened because someone had a feeling that they could make something happen. I think that you are best off trying to educate yourself further on the "what ifs" and then seeing what feeling you have from it. You should decide if it's more important to you to wonder and fear what might happen from trying, or take the risk and see what happens. Realistically, there's a good chance that nothing will. No one but you can make your final decision on it, but it's always best to be prepared and learn anything you can about something unknown, before you try it.

Tell me what your capable of and I can guarantee I can explain it and explain how to prevent or control.
