We have a roommate who we want to evict she has since disappeared we put the eviction notice in her room before she left but she never came home to see it and makes no contact we have no idea where she is. Its like she has abandoned everything, on top of this she has not paid rent or utilities per her agreement. What are our next steps in this process?we live in Texas can we claim abandonment or do we have to do eviction? Like I said I need to know where to go from here. Thank You so much for any help!

How long has she been gone? Do you know of any relatives or friends who might know her whereabouts? Do you know where she worked?

Send her a pay or quit notice through the mail. She may have left a forwarding address. If she doesn't respond then follow-up with filing for eviction.
