Well, I let my ex- husband have ours kids for awhile so he could get to know them and them get to know him and his new wife better. Well, he had me sign primary residence to him because he need it for the army. Well, now he is going back to Afgan. And our kids are coming back with me to live. But, when he gets back he wants them back. Do I, need to get a lawyer? Can he take them back? What does primary residence mean? Did I sign my rights over by doing that? We do have joint custody. We have joint custody and back in aug. I signed a paper stating that he was primary residence of our kids. Because he told me he need it for the army.

But, he deceived me. See the girls were just to stay there for a yr. to get to know him and his new wife. He hasn't been in the kids lifes awhole lot because of the army. So, I thought it would be OK to let them stay with him for a yr.

But his yr. got shorten because he is deploying to afgan in feb. so I can't help it that he didn't get them for the full yr. I feel he tricked me.

So see they will be living with me because I am their mom and they were suppose to come back in aug. to me. Did I give my rights up will my kids never live with me again because of this primary residence thing?

I haven't talked to the schools yet. I need to know if he can take them back when he returns. Do I need to get primary residence for our kids. I think he is trying to keep them forever. I was trying to be nice and now I don't know what to do.

As for as where the kids live full time, you and he can go back to court year after year after year and fight that out, if you don't agree out of court

Is the children's father willing to let them live with you as their primary residence and will sign a paper to that effect?
