I have a 1989 Payne High Efficiency gas furnace (model 395CAV036075) that is no longer igniting/burning.
When I opened the panel, I noticed what looks like pieces of a gasket sitting over and under the burners. It looks like it was originally about a 1/2 inch wide ring, very thin, and maybe 6 to 8 inches in diameter, with little round protrusions along the outer edge about 4 inches apart.
My questions:
1. Could the failure of this gasket have caused the furnace to stop working?
2. Can anyone direct me to a site that has a schematic/parts list for this furnace?
3. Any suggestions/advice?
Thank you.
