Heil gas furnace model GDE075F16A3. The furnace just quit working. The fault was a broken lead on the secondary of the 115V to 24V transformer. With the furnace operating again, I noticed that the blower motor/fan assembly was vibrating. The wife and I removed the assembly for inspection. During disassembly, my wife discovered a broken blower hanger bracket--see photo. I inspected the blower wheel and motor assembly but found nothing unusual. The balance weights were attached and the motor was securely attached. Spinning the blower wheel by hand, I noticed a bit of wobble and there is some lateral movement in the motor shaft. As a temporary repair, I drilled a hole through the bracket and whatever the other part is called then reinstalled the assembly. Which part is most likely causing the vibration, blower wheel or motor? (out-of-balance blower wheel or bad bushings in the motor)

Sounds like your bearings went out. Definitley cheaper to replace the motor than rebuild it
