If you mean abandonment please read this first: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family-law/child-abandonment-read-first-364259.html it pays to browse around a bit first before posting, most often you will find answers already posted.
What do you think filing for abandonment will do for you. Generally, you don't file for abandonment, but you may be able to use abandonment as grounds for something else. Also ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.
P.S. Please use the Answer options at the bottom of the page (not Comments) to post follow-up.

ChickyBaby does not find this helpful : preachy?
Again, may I call your attention to the guidelines for using the comments feature found here:

No I don't think my response was "Preachy". It was meant to help the OP understand how to make the most of this site and what her legal options were.
You just joined this site and already you have made several mistakes in misuse of the features of this site. So my advice to you is the same, browse around and learn how this site is used before you blunder about. So far, you have ticked off several respected members.

Wow, you are nasty. Maybe you should take your own advise and keep your opinions to yourself...B/c I care what any of you think. Nope not one bit...Oh and my aunt is a social worker in Nj.
The best of one ChickyBaby;)
I am greatly impressed by her aunt who is a social worker:eek:
