I am wanting to redo a tiny townhouse galley kitchen, and have located some possible corian secondhand in good condition. My question is the piece for the sink/dw area is 58.5" and my area is 60" length/regular width, with a 36" sinkbase on the right and regular dishwasher to the left. Seller suggested using a backsplash type piece to cover the left end of the counter by the dishwasher outer panel area, but I am not sure this would work and look right. Suggestions or advice please - or should I even consider this?

Do you mean a 1.5" piece of Corian glued edge to edge to the 58.5"? Sure, Corian is glued seamlessly all the time and it's one advantage over other materials.
Are you OK with a 36" sink and a 24" dishwasher in a 60" space? I'd want a couple of inches between the dishwasher and whatever it is next to, insulated if a fridge, a brace if the wall or a stove. Someday you may need to stand on the counter.

I'd have a 25" sink in a 27" cabinet, a 24" dishwasher, and a 9" cabinet on the end.

This is a townhouse galley style kitchen - the only thing on that wall is the dishwasher and the sink. There is a dishwasher cabinet area between the dw and the sink. Counter area on that side is above the dw. Stove/microwave, fridge are all on the opposite wall. LOL if I could redo the kitchen completely I would, but I can't because of the layout. Whoever built this didn't allow for any real future remodeling options because it is so tiny. Current countertop is tile and I hate it!

Have u measured the layout of top and compared it to your cabinet layout?

Is it possible to center the top on cabinets between the end walls? If so, use tile for back splash and side returns. At base of tile where meets top install ceramic decorative strip.

The only place u will see short fall will be at front edge. This can be filled and painted color of top.

Again, there is no cabinet there other than the sinkbase and the dw panels. It is like a sinkbase bar area for lack of a better description. Thanks for the suggestions.
