I have noticed many posts lately are too short and do not contain enough information. It would help out the people who are trying to help if you gave lots of information. Not all of these will apply but I think will give people a good start.
1. Breed of pet
2. Age of pet
3. Sex of pet
4. How long you have had him/her.
5. Where you got him/her from
6. The exact problem and when it first started appearing.
7. Has the pet been to a vet and are they up to date on shots and deworming
8. What food do you feed
9. How much exercise does the pet get
10. What are the symptoms be as exact as possible.
11. What have you done thus far and what were the results.
12. Is the pet neutered or spayed
13. What other pets are in the house
14. Any changes lately in the house

The more details you give will enable people to give good advice without waiting for you to answer more questions.

That's a good list, but the people who need to read it are the ones least likely to see it. They don't read the info at the top of each board either. It's this way all over the net, always has been, always will be.
Try reading some other boards where it's worse - in one short sentence people want someone to write their term paper for them.

It's a great list Mogrann. We have a pile of stickies at the top of the page, but unfortunately nobody ever takes the time to read them :(

It sure would be nice if people could include this info!

I agree. It's a great list, but it's very unlikely anyone will read it and take heed. If only they would it would make answering questions so much easier.

Most of the questions wouldn't even need to be asked if people just read the stickies.
