You can sue anyone for just about anything, but whether you will win is another matter. One problem is that it is doubtful that he 'made' you have your tubes tied, but are you still in the midst of the divorce? Divorce lawyers can get pretty creative. It sounds like you need one.

Your odds on winning a case like this are slimmer than none.

Unless you can prove that your husband held a gun to your head from your house all the way to the hospital, he didn't "make" you do anything. You chose to do it in order to please him, the marriage failed, and now you regret what you chose to do.

If you decide to pursue this, expect to pay thousands of dollars to an attorney with absolutely no guarantee that you'll win.

It would be a lot cheaper just to pay a doctor to repair your tubes if you really want to go forward and be a mother. Otherwise you can just do IVF when the time comes. There is no guarantee of success either way, but it's a better use of the money than paying a lawyer for a case you will certainly lose.

I'm sorry that there is no way to get back at your soon-to-be-ex-husband about this. Sometimes people wrong us and we have no recourse. Living well is the best revenge; do you best to go forward and have a better life without him than you did with him.
