I saw a response you left for someone having issues with an adopted child from another country. We're in the same place with a liberian 14 y/o daughter. We could definitely use any info/resource you may have. We must disrupt. Please help. Doug.

That's not quite how this site works. Threads are pretty much completely separate from each other, so chances are, no one will know what other response or situation you are talking about. I would suggest adding more information about your situation so that other members can offer more helpful advice to you. The best way to do so is to scroll down and use the "answer this question" box to explain what your situation is and what we might be able to help you with.

Grammadidi has not been a member of this site for a couple of years now.
Please provide more info so that others may help you.

There are many here that will be glad to help, please understand these are not blogs, and the reference to someone else's issue is not easy, esp for newer people to remember or find.
So please give your details

I'm so sorry that I didn't see this sooner. I have been off the site for awhile for personal reasons. I just happened upon this question by chance. I'm not sure what type of resources you are looking for but it sounds like you may be seeking help for an attachment disorder. It's very difficult to help when I don't know where (generally) you live. There is some good information on the following websites:
Attachment Disorder Site (http://www.attachmentdisorder.net/)
Attachment Association of Canada (http://www.attachmentcan.ca/)
Evergreen Consultants in Human Behavior (http://www.attachmenttherapy.com/ad.htm)
If you have any further questions beyond what you can learn at these 3 sites, feel free to post back on this question. As your child is already 14 years old, this may be challenging.
Good luck!
Hugs, Didi

Yes, it's been too long, hasn't it? :) Nice to see you are still here, too, J_9!

I'm very, very good! I have moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia. My husband of 3.5 years has finally retired and moved here from CT. I live close to my Dad (even work for him in the summer!) for the first time in over 15 years. My health is better than it was... yep, life is good! :) How about you??
