I read a book back in the 70's or 80's I think. I believe the author was Nora Roberts. I don't remember much of the book but the lady character was somewhat out there I remember a line about answering a phone and how creepy it was that something came through a single cord. I would love to know the name of this book even if it isn't written by Nora Roberts. Can anyone help

You'll have to remember more than that for anyone to figure out the title. Perhaps the setting or a character's name? Roberts writes romances, so anything about that?

I know its not part of the MacGregor series, as I have reread all those books. It still sticks in my mind that the male main character will be running for President, the female lead is smart and quirky. The book may not have been written by Nora Roberts and I believe it was an older Harlequin. Sorry it has taken me long to answer as I forgot I asked the question until it started bugging me again. I will make sure to answer and reply.
