I have just purchased a Sanyo LED LCD 80cm TV (LED32XR10F)
http://www.sanyo.com.au/products/tvs-set-top-boxes/led-tvs/led32xr10f

I wanted to connect it to my LG DVD Recorder (RH1777)

I only have an RCA cable (the Red/White/Yellow Audio/Video one)

The TV manual says:
To connect a VCR for recording
Connect an AV cable to the AV OUT jacks on the back of your
TV and to the AV IN jacks on the back of the VCR.
To record a program:
1. Turn on your TV, then select the programme you want to
Record.
2. Turn on your VCR , then insert a videotape.
3. Press RECORD on your VCR to start the recording.
Note: Only TV and AV programs can be recorded.

When I do this I can record onto my DVD HDD, but when I want to watch it, I have to change the RCA cables so DVD AV OUT and TV AV IN. Plus change the source to AV (which you have to do anyway)

I have tried two sets of RCA cables one TV OUT, DVD IN; the other TV IN, DVD OUT; but it only recorded black screen, with no audio.

How can I watch my recordings without having to change the cables around all the time?

The TV's connections consist of:
1. Headphone & S/PDIF
2. USB port
3. HDMI3
4. AV OUTPUT: Connect a VCR to these jacks to record programs.
5. AV INPUT: Connect an AV device to these jacks.
6. RS-232: For service only. Do not use.
7. HDMI1
8. HDMI2
9. MUSIC
10. PC IN D-SUB/AUDIO
11. COMPONENT IN
12. RF

The DVD Recorder's connections look like this
1. AERIAL
2. AV OUT
3. AV IN 1
4. COAXIAL (Digital audio out jack)
5. OPTICAL (Digital audio out jack)
6. RF. OUT
7. S-VIDEO OUT
8. COMPONENT/PROGRESSIVE SCAN VIDEO OUT (Y Pb Pr)

I also have a VCR/DVD with the following connections, but would prefer to use the DVD recorder
1. Antenna IN
2. Antenna OUT
3. AV IN (DVD&VCR)
4. AV OUT (DVD&VCR)
5. Component (DVD only)
6. Audio (DVD only)
7. Digital Audio OUT (Coaxial) (DVD only)
