When the temp drops our gas furnace tries to ignite but won't catch. The unit then blows cold air, shuts off and tries again a few minutes later. When this happens, our gas stove will also light, come on for a few seconds and then slowly go out, same with gas logs? Also, when its cold only... our thermostat acts like it works backwards. Turn it to heat and the unit shuts off, turn it to off and the blower kicks on but furnace does not light.
We've had the unit serviced and looked at by three different "professionals" and its only 8 yrs old. They've changed the regulator, replaced the control panel, and about $1000 worth of other stuff that hasn't worked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
