I weigh 197 pounds and I am only 16 and I want to lose weight because I don't like being fat and my weight can harm me in many different ways

The good news is that at 16, you won't have to try very hard to lose weight. Get your diet in order and get active.
Cut out all the junk food and white carbs (sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes) from your diet, and base your meals on fresh whole food like eggs, oily fish, fresh meat or chicken, lots and lots of green vegetables, some dairy, some fruit, nuts, wholegrains.
Stop drinking soda, and cut out sweets and fast food. If you are eating in a fast food place with your friends, have the chicken salad, or even a plain burger, no fries, no soda.
Try to be active, walk where possible, ride your bike, dance to loud music, join in sports.
Turn off the TV (record your favourite programs and watch them later), don't stay on the computer for long, go to bed on time.

Don't stress too much about your weight. Your young, and all you have to do is eat healthy. Don't stress about it. If you decide to lose weight, just lose it in a healthy way.
