I am 33 yrs old and in may 2011 I had a miscarriage. I had my first US thinking I was 10 weeks pregnant, but it showed I was only 4-5 weeks and there was never a fetus. I started to bleed a lot and wanted to pass on own but it got too much for me and I had a D& C dome while awake because I didn't have that much left inside me. It is 7 months later and I still can not get pregnant. My periods have Always been on time between 28-30 days. I can get it 2 days early or a day late. They only last about 3-4 days with a very light flow. I am afraid that I can maybe have scar tissue. My obgyn wanted to take my blood while I had my period and I do not know why. I have taken ovulation kits. Nothing seems to be working. I hate the saying time will tell. I'm frustrated. Please Help

It is frustrating when you are wanting it to happen. Most couples will become pregnant within a year of trying, but it can take some longer.

The blood test during your period is likely for checking your FSH level. Basically a low level means your body is not having to release too much of the hormone to start the process of egg development. A higher than average level may mean your body is having to release more of the hormone to try and get the same response of egg development possibly due to a lower reserve. At 33, while still young, fertility can start to be effected so some doctors will start some of the initial testing after about 6 months of trying without success.
