The mom and dad of a litter of new puppies have recently been moved into our house while their owners are out of town. On christmas we came home to a house that was smelly and in every room they had accidents. Especially mine. They are five yrs and already potty trained. I expected this on christmas cause we were gone all day but the next night they did it again. Also my mothers favorite christmas present. (a windup toy of and elephant because that's her favorite animal) had been chewed up. We take them out every night and they go so I just don't understand.

Dogs left unsupervised in unfamiliar surroundings, especially right after having a litter of pups, will mark their territory, and will become destructive.

The mom and her young pups have been moved during a very stressful time in their lives. You're lucky that they just messed around the house and chewed up a few things. It could have been worse.

Also, you were gone all day!

It's not that hard to understand why this happened. They're stressed.

Just so people understand why I know this dog had pups recently.

Hi it happened again an this time they had an accident in my room right in front of me!
Also it isn't unfamiliar surroundings they've been here two weeks. Also if it is because she had puppies for the girl dog what about the dad?

I think it may be because they live in an apartment and have a wee wee pad. They probably go on the rug in my room cause it look similer(sp) to the wee wee pad they have.

You have already been asked to use the Answer box instead of the Comment box to respond. The Answer box is at the bottom of the page. All you have to do is scroll down. Thank you.

The dogs are using the manners they were taught by their owners.

I think you have found the problem. For the days they were with you before Christmas Day you were probably getting them outside often enough that they didn't associate the inside of your house with going potty. Christmas Day that changed.

This is one of the reasons most us detest the pads. You never know when your animal is going to be in another person's house for a long period and if your animal thinks it is okay to potty indoors... well, the animal becomes confused very easily.

Since they are already trained to use pads, your parents might get some. Either that or get used to cleaning up the rug with an enzyme cleaner.

It's already been said, they are stressed and now they are confused. If you let a dog pee on a mat in your home, expect him to pee on any other soft thing laying around. The male is marking because there is an entire litter or new pups in his home. Two weeks is not long enough for the original dog and the new arrivals to get used to the changes happening.

I would suggest getting your male dog neutered and the female spayed as soon as she is done nursing the pups.

All these changes are creating behavior issues, and as the pups get older, your male will probably take on other un wanted characteristics.

Bla, the comment box is for commenting on a post, not for posting a response. It's not about what you prefer, it's about using the site correctly.

If you continue to use the comment box when you've been repeatedly asked to used the post feature, I will report your posts.

I just looked on the skin you're using and the answer box is there, right at the bottom.

If you want people to continue helping you with your questions, than post properly.

Well my computer is obviously malfunctioning because the answer box isn't there. I will continue to use the comment box as wanted.

And you can't report my posts because that would be false and you can get reported for false reporting.

And what do you mean using the site correctly? This is an open site for all who sign p and we can use it as we like as long as were not being rude. It is hardly rude to talk on here the way I want, whick is through the comment box.

And I go to my home to look at answers to my questions. I have entered my question in the search bar on browse before and found it through the options that came up. When I did that the answer box was there. But not on my home. So please if you would

Kindly stop bothering me about it.

First, may I call your attention to the guidelines for using the comments feature found here:

https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/feedback/using-comments-feature-24951.html

Apparently, You finally found the Answer options, because post #10 was posted using it. The Answer box is at the bottom of the page. You have to scroll down to find it. What you don't seem to understand is that for the people answering questions using the Comments to post followups makes it more difficult for us to follow the thread and provide help. In addition the Comments box is limited in the amount of space, so its only designed for a short comment like a thank you.

If you want people to help you you will make it as easy as possible to do so. Anything else would be rude and people will stop helping.
