Laxatives or enemas are the next step. Laxatives feel absolutely awful when they start to work despite the box saying how gentle they are. Enemas are messier but more comfortable. There are premixed ones such as Fleet, or you can make your own with an enema bag held up about chest high, filled with warm water and any sort of bath soap, shampoo, or glycerine, to soothe your bowel with something slippery. Stand in the shower or tub.
