It was a 1980s or early 1990s movie about a group of kids who find a stray dog who is pregnant and they rescue more dogs from a dog pound. They dress up in camouflage and go in at night to rescue the other dogs. There is a guy who looks like an older Ed Harris who is guarding the dogs & seems scary but I seem to remember him being nice at the end...
I keep wanting to call this movie "The Pound Puppies" but all I turn up with that search is the cartoon and this was not a cartoon. I feel like the main boy was either Corey Haim or Corey Feldman but can't turn anything up with their names.
