Is this a add on warranty, ( extended warranty on a new unit)

Goodman charges for 10 year labor warranty. It is $150.00 our cost but goes on sale some times for us. Your not a contractor and you don't have the education or ROC license to buy any of it from the wholesalers. They can charge what they want for it. The warranty for 10 year all parts come with the unit and you can fill it out yourself and mail it in. You have to look at it like this. You buy a new phone and the extended warranty is $50 bucks. That's just for a little phone. He is not ripping you off he is getting paid for his time.

There's always two sides to the story. If you are carged for a repair after you bought parts and labor warranty for service write up than yes you are being taken. If you called a tech out to check your system(Because you thought it may not be right) and nothing was wrong, than yes you will need to pay.
