Our hampton bay remote light comes on or goes off whenever.

Bob, unlock your caps key and we'll talk. Is this a ceiling fan light or what. Got a model number or anything for us. Remotes and receivers have tiny dip switches that must match. Open both and pick one of the switches on each unit and move it. This changes your radio frequency so if a nearby person had the same code you will be OK now.
