Hello,
I have a bug problem here. My Husband and I have been married for almost a year now, but have been together for almost 8 years. :) Here, the past few months I have been acting and feeling very odd. I am on an Oral B/C and I am pretty regular at taking them, and I have been on it for about 8 months now. For the past 3 months my periods have been odd. Usually I have a 5-7 day cycle. Now I am hardly having a 2 day cycle, which has been very light. Around 2 months ago, every time my Husband and I had intercourse I have bled a little after wards. Nothing major and there is no pain during. Also around the same time is when I started having chest pain, tender nipples, and a huge growth in chest size. My mood swings, as my husband says, gives him whip lash. LOL and I feel like I have to eat 5 to 6 times a day. I feel personally that my tummy is a bit larger than normal. I have been to the doctor and they give me pregnancy tests. That one came back as a negative, And I have taken 8 on my own accord. Which 4 pos and 4 negative. Go figure right. LOL. My mother said she was just over 5 months pregnant with all her kids before they found out she was even pregnant. I hope I am not the same. Does anyone have any take on my situation? Anything would be a big help!

Thanks!
Nikki

If you've had 4 positive pregnancy tests and for negative, than I'd go back to the doctor and tell him/her that, and perhaps ask for an ultrasound. At this point that's what I would do.

I agree, demand an ultrasound. If you do have unusual hormone balance like your mother, you don't want to be on BC while pregnant.

I have an appointment today.. yet again. I am not sure if I have an unbalanced hormone level. Most likely I guess. It is really bothering me that I don't know for sure. I am going to demand an ultrasound. They also told me that the B/C I am on will not hurt the baby cause it is a very low hormonal. IDK what to think anymore. But thanks for your response. :)

I would also demand an ultrasound although I must say you can get a false negative but not usual to get a false positive hun so the chances are you could be pregnant

I agree. With 4 positives, well, that's pretty clear to me. But the 4 negatives are a bit odd.

I have had friends that had false positives, but not 4.

Well, I went back the Doctors yesterday.. They want me to wait another month before they will even consider doing an ultrasound. Needless to say, this is really starting to stress me out a little. I don't know what to do anymore... ;(

At this point I think you should assume that the 4 positives are accurate and act accordingly. In other words, no alcohol, start taking prenatal vitamins, eat healthy, etc. etc.

If you're not pregnant than none of the above will hurt you at all, but if you are, it will make a big difference for your baby.

I'm sorry that you're going through this. I can't imagine. I'd be going nuts. When I was pregnant with my son my husband didn't trust the home pregnancy test, he wanted it confirmed by a doctor. Well it was the holiday's and a pregnancy test isn't an emergency so I wasn't going to go to the walk in clinic and wait in horrendous lines for that.

We went the next day, and were told it would take an hour for the results. I was going stir crazy.

If I had had to wait a month I may well have strangled someone. ;)

I hope it all works out the way you want. Please keep us posted and try not to let it get to you.

I wish you all the best. :)
