I know how to insert a CD track into a powerpoint but can only get it to play on my computer while the CD is in my computer. Is there any way to save the file and send the powerpoint with the music?

You would have to "rip" the track from the CD and then insert into the PP presentation. But thre may be copyright issues with that. You would need permission from the copyright holder of the music.

Well I wouldn't want to do that soI suppose a CD track is out. But what about little music files from the clip gallery, etc. I have the same problem of only being able to hear the sound on my computer and I suppose that is because the music file is on my hard drive. Is there any way to include it and lock it into the powerpoint so that I can hear the music when it is played on another computer?
Thanks for your help so far. :)

Depends on how you package the presentation. Check Powerpoint Help on "package" and you should get details.
