Have you had a positive pregnancy test?

Can you tell us why you think you are pregnant please?

Yes, I took 6 tests on Saturday and they all came up positive! But I feel farther than a few weeks along.

I have always had heavy 5 day periods, but in Nov. I had 2 days and they weren't heavy at all. I went Nov. 23rd and 24th and that was it!

Plus I can't keep anything down, and I usually don't start that until I'm at least 8weeks. At least, that's how my other 3 were! I know every pregnancy is different, so I am trying to keep an open mind.

I had a today light period, so I took a test and it came back positive. But this is my 4th kid and I feel farther along than what it adds up to be. Do I not count those 2days in Nov.

No, you don't count those two days.

What was the first day of your last period?

If October 24 was your LMP, and you are pregnant, then you are approximately 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Your due date would be approximately July 30.

My last full period was Oct. 24th through the 29th, but I took a test in Nov that was negative. Did I take the test too soon, you think?

I thought you got a positive test?

It's either positive or negative. What is it?

I'm sorry, I didn't explain that very well!! I took a test in Nov that was negative, then a test Saturday (Dec. 18th) and it was positive. Sorry, I'm trying to figure out how to use this website.

It's okay, this site can be confusing when you are new.

Positive tests are rarely false. If you got a positive, consider yourself pregnant. The test you took in November may have been a false negative (which is more common than a false positive) because it may have been too early to detect the pregnancy hormone called hcg.

I called for my first doctors visit, but they told me I couldn't come in until I was at least 7 weeks. So my appointment is Jan 4th. It's been almost 5years since I've been pregnant, so I can't remember if they will do a sonogram or not?

They may do a sonogram. Don't freak out if they do and don't find anything. Many doctors don't make appointments until the 12th week so that you can see the fetus and the fetal heart beat. It may be too early to see that if you have a sonogram.

Right now you need to treat yourself as if you are pregnant, until you get the official diagnosis.

Eat well, sleep good and take prenatal vitamins. Avoid alcohol and tobacco.

I am already going through morning sickness, is this normal? My last 3 pregnancys I had morning sickness also, but it didn't start until I was about 8 weeks or longer.

Thank you, you have been very helpful! I realize every pregnancy is different, but this one already is starting very differently than my others. So, I was a little concerned! My morning sickness usually starts around 8 weeks, but this one has already started. Maybe I'm just comparing it too much to the others?

Morning sickness that early in pregnancy may be rare but not impossible I had very early morning sickness with my daughter (about 3-4 weeks) took a test and it was also negative as it was too early to tell. But your best option is to wait for your doctors appointment as they will be the best bet to tell you how far along you are.
