My daughter and her husband was living with us and waiting for their house to get ready. We had a big fight and now my daughter won't let me see my grandkids that I raised since they were little and moved out with her and her kids and their step father, I got a text message from my son in law stating that I will never see my grandkids again . I am in tears over this and my husband and I don't know what to do.
I live in California and I know there are rights but where do I get it.
My grandkids are 9 and 12 and my grandson did not want to leave but was forced to by my daughter.
She said I am mean and all we did was open our house to them and it was not easy her husband comes with his kids and dogs and my hoouse is small and my husband is on social security and he is 67 years of age and I am 57 we did not ask for them to live with us now that this happened my grandkids suffer.

Yes there are laws about grandparents rights, but I'm not sure they apply to you. Generally,m its when one parent dies and the other tries to keep the kids from the parents.

You need to consult a family law attorney as to your rights. However, I would try to work this out without involving the law.
