I have a Watts Premier RO system and water stopped flowing. I changed all the filters and noticed the shrader valve was loose so I tightened it. I drained the water and after filling the tank with 60 psi, I hooked everything up and let the tank fill over night, however water flows for about 5 seconds and stops. What I did not change was the membrane, and it is 5 years old. Could that be the reason? Thanks!

First, unhook line connecting supply valve and RO system. Turn valve ON with towel over it to make sure you are getting water from that valve. If positive then check the following:
1. The incoming valve is in Open position and line connecting valve and RO system is not kinked
2. Valve on the RO tank is in open position
3. Always replace all filters in the system at the same time
4. Make sure all plastic tubing in the system is not kinked
It is possible that the membrane is clogged up. If all above appears to be in proper operating condition than replace the membrane.
