i have a fan model 04913 fan from hampton bay and lost the papers to it i need to know where the code is on the fan?
to get to it to change it cause its interacting with my other fans in the house

Hampton Bay is not really a fan company. This is the store brand for Home Depot. Call your local Home Depot and ask them to assist you with getting replacement directions.

The receiver for the remote is either in the light kit or in the very top of the unit. I have several Hampton Bay fans, and the older ones have the receiver in the light kit. I start by looking in the light kit, as it is easier to put up and down. If it is not there, it is a big yellow box above the downrod inside the bell at the top.

Not always a yellow box, sometimes a black box. Sometimes it is in with the motor and then usuallu the dip switches are accessible on top of the motor.
