I am 19 and I have been on the shot for 5 years. I just got a period. Can I still have kids since I started my period because I heard the shot would prevent you from ever having kids

The shot is not permanent by any means. However, once you stop taking the shot it can take as long as a year or more to conceive.

You said you just got a period. Have you stopped taking the shot?
