This has been killing me for as long as I can remember but I am trying to find out about this straight to video kids movie from the 90s. It had this martian/time traveling character that befriends this kid in junior high I believe. The martian kind of had this moppy black hair and a big head. I think the VHS tape case had him on the front of it surfing in space on a lightning bolt with sunglasses. Anyhow I know there was a sequel because I remember at the beginning of the sequel it parts ways with the boy from the first film after they blow up the high school and he transports to another kid who he kind of helps out like the kid from the first film. I don't know I feel like I'm in a peanut butter solution situation for the past 3 years trying to find out about this film.
