Sure. Use a cap or plug depending on the fitting(s). Are the pipes PVC, CPVC, Copper? I will assume you have no service yet, what prompts the question?

Hi Dano...

You sure can.

Capping off the water pipes is pretty obvious stuff...

Capping off the waste lines can be a little involved depending on whether you need the pipes flush with the floor or below the floor.

Tell us what materials the waste pipes are, OK. Waste pipes can be PVC (white plastic), ABS (black plastic), galvanized (silver metal pipe), cast iron (black metal pipe), copper or even lead (soft, pliable metal). Some older systems may have a combination of these waste piping materials.

Let us know more and we can tell you how to seal of the drain pipes so no sewer gasses or raw sewage can back up and leak into the basement down the road, OK?

Back to you...
