6 girls were to move into a house in May 2011. 2 girls were told after signing a contract that he had subleted one of the room to a man for the month of May. There is no mention in the contract that he did this. The girls do not want house due to a man living there. Also we had several weeks to get monies for first and last months rent together. He listed same house for rent online while cashing 2 checks of the 6 potential tenants. He will not return the 2 checks which were deposited as partial payment. Stated house was ours yet is listing same house as available 6 rooms for May. Again no mention of 1 room subleted. What recourse do we have.

If each of the girls signed their OWN rental agreement, instead of signing ONE agreement with all six girls on it, for the whole house, then they are individual renters, and he can rent other rooms to whomever he wants to. If he entered into an agreement for the house, with all six girls, then he can't rent any of the rooms.
