Have wired same in the past w/o problem. This time an electrician is doing it.
I have heard of having to reverse wires for fan / light function mismatch but to operate these 2 new units now I have to have the bottom Power button LET OUT (loose) not pushed IN.

How could this have happened, what is going on possibly and can it be fixed?

The fan, an older Cathay, works fine in all functions...
