I have an old thermostat model t852a from honeywell it has four wires can someone help identify these wires to use on my new thermostat

Give us the color of wires that hook to what letter on the thermostat. We will see if we can walk you through it.

Yellow to Y, green to G, white to W and red to R. Easy pal

This is correct if, whoever wired it did it correct according to rule of thumb,, but not always the case
Give the answer t-top asked for,, or go to the furnace and write down what each color of wire is connected to what

I have a blue wire, orange wire, blue and white wire, and a orange and whit wire. None of the wires are labeled and nor does the thermostat have any labeling to where the wires connect.

Open de furnace door, take a look to the connections to the electronic board. I suppose that your new th, is labeled. So if example if your orange in the board is connected to W is going to be connected to W in the th. And the same for the others. Good luck!!

Very important: Shut off the main switch of your furnace before opening your door.!
