I have accidentially inserted my 120V coffee make socket into 220V output plug. It stopped working within 1min. Is it destoyed? Can it be repaired?

From my experience, once coffee makers are broken, they are normally throw away items.

Its possible depending on the damage that was caused. It may be cheaper to buy a new one. Its hard to say. Did any smoke appear? Was there a pop ? It could be as simple as a fuse or much worse.

Can you spell TOAST? How did you get a 120V plug into a 240V outlet?
