Hello,
I live in Pittsburgh where it is currently about 15 degrees. I just had a Goodman Model# CAPF3030B6BA newly installed. I have the temperature set on 68 when I'm home and 65 at night and when I'm not home. I have observed that the first floor warms to the selected temp but the second floor holds steady at around 61. My contractor tells me I need to adjust, i.e. close off the dampers in rooms that I don't use as much to get more heat where I want it.
My question is; shouldn't a newly installed system, if properly sized heat the entire home without having to be making trips to my basement to manually adjust dampers?
Please advise.
Thanks!
Phil
