I have a upright maytag freezer model MQU1556AEW the food on the bottom self freezes but the rest of the food in the freezer dose not stay froozen any ideas were to start or why it would do this

Is the door sealing tight all the way around? Slide a dollar bill between the gasket in several spots and try to pull it out. There should be pretty good drag. If it is real loose you may need a new door gasket. Or maybe the evaporator is just starting to freeze up. When is the last time you vacumed the condenser coils?

I usually vacum it out once a year when I defrost it and I vacumed it earllierthis year because I started having problems about a month ago. I tried the dollar bill and it seems like I have resistance all the way around. The only other thing I noticed is when I used to close the door it kind of like vacumed shut but it doesn't do that anymore.
