If you want to darken your highlights, you will need to color it. There are three types of hair color products, which are semi-permanent, demi-permanent, and permanent color. Semi-permanent lasts from 6 to 12 shampoos. Demi-permanent lasts longer, through 24 to 26 shampoos. Permanent color can't wash out, however it will fade over time and grow out. Choose a hair color that suits you best.

Omgosh! That happened to me too with the same kit, because I did it myself and put all of it in my hair and now I look lyk a blonde ranga!
I haate it, so now I'm going to dye it back to my dark brown hair, although I'm very scared of the outcome :\
