In the basement there is a rubber hose entering the main drain about 2 inches below the concrete floor. It is leaking warm water and I don't know where this hose comes from or how to stop the leak.

You have a hose emptying into a floor drain. Is that correct? The first to do is to track the hose back to the source. It's got to start someplace. Is this a garden hose?

The floor drain is not backing up however, a black rubber hose is continually leaking warm water into this drain. I cannot tell where it originates because the hose enters the drain through the concrete floor and protrudes through the circular drain about 2 inches below the surface of the floor. When I look into the drain I can see the water running out of the hose and into the drain. It started as a few drops 6 months ago and it is now a steady stream. It is impossible to trace the origin of the hose without braking up the concrete and ripping the walls apart. Any idea where it could originate? There is now a hissing in my taps probably due to air being sucked in to the system as the water runs out. Thanks, Bayster

If you have a forced air gas furnace there might be a hose connected to drain water from the furnace. Check your furnace for the hose, I have seen white hoses and mine is clear.
If not... turn off your water supply, if the leak stops you know you have a problem.
Also, all drain pipes are vented, usually not in this manor, but if it is your main drain this could be a vent for sewer gases?? It should not be leaking water unless you have some badly plugged drains and back up. In that case, it would probably smell.
