Hi everyone. I have a 1997 GMC YUKON and most of the time when I turn on the wipers they don't work, only have front window wipers. So I checked and cleaned the fuse, I took out the wiper motor and cleaned it, I checked out the wire connections everything looks OK to my untrained eyes. What else could it be? Check/replace the combination switch.

Oh yeah I already replaced that part.

Check with your local dealer.
There is an updated GM part number for the wiper module (the circuit board that is mounted to the wiper motor). The new module has more robust connections to address the intermittent open.
P/N 12463090 and should be readily available from parts stores and dealers.
The alternative is to resolder the connection where the main connector (3) attaches to the printed circuit board (2).
