"I'm a single father of 3 year old, which I have visitation and paternity established already and the child's mother is wanting to move to another state. We live in Indiana. If I don't approve of this move can she move anyway? I have been paying support, but have recently lost my job and am a few weeks behind. Does this hurt my case? I will catch it up, but at the moment this is the situation. Please help me. I don't want to lose my child. "

This is a legal question so has been moved from the Children forum. Please exercise more care in choosing the forum to post in.

As long as you have visitation rights, especially if you are exercising them, she can't move without court permission. If she does you can file for contempt of court and force her to return or to return the child to you.

Your current job status will not affect this issue.

i can tell that you are sad why can't you go with them. if they dont let you go to as many job interviews as you can. i hope this info is useful

It is nice that you want to try and help. But we take pride in the accuracy of the advice we give out here. You are only 10 yrs old. You don't have the experience to deal with adult issues. This is the second time I've had to point out bad advice from you.
