We have a 2 story house and the other day noticed my sons bathroom had severe water damage under the toilet, to the point where the lino had to be replaced and the floor was swollen. We have removed the toilet and stripped the lino and repaired the lino. The toilet is not back on yet and this bathroom has been out of commission. Last night my son told us that there was a water leak in the basement. This morning, we checked and there was nothing, then he had a shower and flushed the toilet in the other bathroom (back to back) and now the water leak is back. We do have t-bar ceiling in the basement, but believe the leak is coming from the second floor bathroom, I am thinking the toilet as last night no one had showered.
How do I go about finding the leak, I am assuming that has something to do with these bathrooms being back to back and the toilets are back to back.
Could it have leaked from one bathrom to the other.

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

You must track the leak back to the sorce. If you can't locate it in the bathroom then starting from where you first saw moisture track it back to the highest point.
If you have to open up walls or ceilings cut a square hole and you can use it for a patch. Good luck, Tom
