I've got an external hard drive connected via USB (Seagate brand). For a couple of years, every time I turned the machine on, when I looked at "My Computer" the Hard Disk Drives were Local Disk (C:) and Sea Disk (E:). Devices with Removable Storage were 3 1/2 Floppy (A:) and DVD-RAM Drive (D:). Then one day, the Sea Disk suddenly changed itself to F, and then within a couple of days to G (now I've got no E or F drives). Didn't cause me a lot of problems, because I'm reasonably savvy at using computers, but I'm just wondering, what caused this assignment change? At the time, I did have a HP printer with some memory card slots that had always been F. I can't remember what they changed to. There was a few ink problems with the printer after I'd had it for a couple of years, and I replaced it a few weeks ago. The new one doesn't have the memory card slots, so has no drive letter assigned to it.
