Pig in the middle that's what I am I met a guy after I split with my ex but my kids hate him they are older but its caused so much trouble and now we nearly split up over them I seem to be in a no win situation my guy is still angry with them and I get upset because I feel like a crap mum which I never wanted to be please advise

ANY guy who is not their dad will get your kids riled up. They want their parents back together again! At first, it's better to date without the kids even meeting the new guy. Only when you're sure "he's the one" should you start making room for him in the family circle.

Talk with your children. LISTEN to what they tell you about what they don't like. Is there anything they DO like about this man?

How old are your children. This will make a big difference in understanding how the new man in your life is fitting into theirs.

If they are adult children, and living independently in their own homes, that would also make a big difference in how to understand your situation better.

IF you're happy with your guy and he treats you and your children well, I say stay with him. A lot of kids get upset over mom being with another man.

IF he's not such a great guy, then I'd say maybe it's time to dump him.
