Hi I am 22 now, and I had sex with a 25 year old man when I was 13 it has been 10 years since that first occasions. Could I press charges on him. I have seen him since then as he has treat me with videos and pictures he had taken of me when we had sex when I was a minor. He says if I don't see him he will show them to my family.

I am almost positive you still could. Even if you couldn't, you could turn him in for having lewd material of a minor! This is just a weird situation and I don't know much about the law but I am sure something can be done here.

I am sure you will get many more answers tomorrow morning as it is late for a lot of our members!

I wish you the best of luck and ask you keep us updated as events transpire!

I also don't know for certain, but I'm pretty sure that most rape charges (this would be statutory rape) have a statute of limitations. It would depend on where you live. Also, you'd have to prove that you two had sex, which wouldn't be easy to do.

If he's threatening you with porn taken from when you were young, that (as far as I know) would be something you could charge him with. Having possession of pornographic images of a minor is in itself against the law. The fact that he's threatening to distribute those pictures doesn't bode well for him.

I would consult an attorney in your State, go from there.

Check your thread often. We have many legal experts here, sadly the only two people that saw your thread aren't in that category. ;)

You could talk to the police straight away, but I would tell your family first, just to avoid the shock. The police can discuss it with the DAs office. It doesn't matter how 'involved' you were in the sex, IF the videos even exist - you were a minor and a pretty young one at that. Keep in mind that he might deny to the law that they exist and that he ever said they did, and the police may not be in a position to search for them.

Yes, go to the police immediately! You were exploited and raped. Even if you consented, you were legally unable to consent. HE will NOT reveal those evidence because if he does, he will go to jail for possession of child porn.

Whether he can be prosecuted for your rape depends on where this happened (ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area). But this man is a pedophile and, if he did this to you, he has done it with others. At the very least he can be prosecuted for the kiddie porn. So PLEASE go to the police TODAY!! Help prevent him doing to others what he did to you.

SG- I agree 110% with what you said. I can't agree because I need to spread my rep but this is me agreeing whole heartedly.

If he has done this with you the likeliness that you are the only one is very slim. Possible but unlikely. Stop this now, stop him now, before others get hurt and are put in situations like the one you are in right now!
